About Verisync

Across agencies, systems, and administrations, the same pattern repeats: the data exists, the people exist, and the will to improve exists. What's missing is alignment — between systems, between roles, and between where an organization is today and where it needs to go.

I'm Melissa Plante, founder of Verisync Advisors. I've spent my career working inside and alongside public sector data environments — leading data strategy, governance, and architecture engagements for state and federal agencies ranging from financial oversight to cultural preservation to enterprise analytics. I founded this firm on a conviction I return to constantly: you cannot govern what you haven't unified, and you cannot transform what you haven't governed.

Verisync is intentionally boutique — which means senior-level attention on your engagement from start to finish, not handed off to analysts, supported by a trusted network of professionals across change management, technology implementation, training, and program management. Whatever your engagement requires, the right expertise is at the table.

What I bring personally is focus, continuity, and genuine partnership. I don't arrive with a predetermined framework and fit your organization into it. I work with what's already there — the roles people are already playing, the systems already in place, the institutional knowledge already present — and I build from there. That's what drives adoption. That's what makes governance stick.

The work centers on three interconnected capabilities: unifying fragmented data sources so that governance, quality, and analytics can happen consistently; formalizing the data governance roles and responsibilities your team is already carrying informally; and developing data strategies that solve today's problems while building toward tomorrow's vision.

On AI: the organizations that will use it well are the ones that have done this work first. Data that is fragmented, ungoverned, or poorly understood doesn't become reliable because an AI model touches it. Investing in data strategy and governance now isn't a delay — it's the foundation everything else depends on.

Govern first. Then grow.

If that's where you are — let's talk.
